Affordable Pricing

You really do get what you pay for...

... we keep our prices low AND we do all of the important things as a company to ensure your project is successful, your financial investment is sound and your personal safety is assured.

You Get What You Pay For!

The old saying, "You get what you pay for," is never more true than with home repairs, maintenance and modifications. Practicing "Lowest-Price" buying when it comes to home care can be costly and dangerous. Value is always more important than the lowest price.

Value in home improvement is a combination of a variety of factors, Skill + Knowledge + Integrity + Quality of Materials. For example; a semi-skilled serviceman may charge you less per hour but take twice as long to do the job as a highly skilled serviceman; a serviceman with limited knowledge will require extra time to figure out how the parts of a ceiling fan go together; a serviceman with poor integrity may be able to charge you less per hour because he has no insurance payments. When an accident happens he has no way to pay for it leaving you with the cost; and a service company may be the lowest bid because they have priced your job with low-end quality materials that will last only half as long as they should.

If you really want to see true value check out our average pricing here and then go read our "Why Us?" page to see what you are getting.

How We Price

We offer daytime and off-hour rates for basic & emergency service calls. We offer estimated average pricing on certain projects, and we offer more detailed Formal Estimates & Bids for larger projects. These three levels give you flexibility in choosing the best course of pricing for your project(s).

Free Estimates

Upon request, we can offer you a free general estimate of costs related to a variety of projects.* Call us and describe your project for more information.

*General estimate of costs are not representative of final costs. Final costs are relevant to additional work/processes that may be involved in the project. General estimates are for your informational purposes only and do not constitute a binding agreement unless you receive a formal contract or change-order in writing from American Home Handyman prior to the start of work.

Free Cost Estimates

We offer a free, detailed estimate and / or bid for projects that exceed $500. The estimate/bid will include the project description in detail and the estimated labor fee and materials costs. Our estimate/bids are very clear and easy to understand.

Our estimates on projects are FREE if the project is within 15 miles of our base.

For Insurance Estimates for insurance claims, etc., we charge a flat service fee of only $80.00. The fee is refundable if you select us as your contractor. Call for further details.

How soon can my project be started?

At the earliest your project can begin three (3) business days after a work argreement is signed for any work that is not deemed "emergency repairs." (*See definition of Emergency Repairs below) Therefore, unless in case of an emergency repair, the minimum waiting period is three days. American Home Handyman schedules customers in order of date of signed work agreements with deposits. No projects will be scheduled or proceed without a signed contract with deposit.

Standard Hourly and Emergency Rates

If your project is an Emergency Service call, or you do not need a formal estimate, you can request an hourly fee contract.

Dedicated to Frank

Mr. Frank Laero Sr., company founder, used his WWII GI Bill following his honorable service from the US Navy to train for the trades. In 1978, Frank's eldest son, Jim, took over the family business. Jim renamed the company, American Home Handyman, in honor of his father's love, dedication and service to his country.

Our Approach

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
